Good Standing
The goal was to become a responsible breeder of Himalayans and Abyssinians. However, in 1986 I made the decision to only continue the breeding program for the Abyssinian. I found myself struggling and disagreeing with the direction the look of the Himalayan was directed.
In 1988 a business venture prompted a move and my program was put on hold until this new venture took root. Unfortunately this venture ate up much more time than had been expected and the breeding program was delayed until 1991 when I adopted a new female. This female was the granddaughter of my very first Queen Lexie.
Lexie produced some wonderful babies in her time and she lived the remainder of her life as my constant companion. She traveled with me everywhere and was well known by many. After she passed on I was offered her granddaughter Alex. I was also offered Lexie's son and Alex's father Mai Tai who had been retired from breeding and neutered. I jumped on the chance to have the pair of them with me.
Unfortunately Alex was not meant to be a mother and I decided to spay her after a few failed breedings.
In 1995 I hit a minor bump in the road of life in the form of Cancer. This further delayed the hope of continuing my breeding program.
Fast forward to March of 2003, a recurrence of Cancer and the last of my babies, Alex becoming sick while I was hospitalized. I was completely devastated when she passed on. To try and help bring me out of my state of depression my life partner brought home a 6 month old DHS rescue (Chyna). This poor baby had been abused, neglected and had been allowed to have kittens, even though she was one herself. She was fearful of everything and anything that came near her or moved in her direction. Working with her to gain my trust and show her that not everyone wanted to hurt her took my mind off of my health and the loss of Alex. As my health improved I decided I would look at starting a breeding program once again. I searched the Internet for Canadian Breeders of Abyssinians and in those searches came across the Bengals. That wild look caught my interest and so the search began.
My first new member to be added to the family was Stone in October of 2003. He was adopted from Angela Hoskinson of Dawnfire Bengals and quickly introduced me to the joys of being owned by the Bengal breed. In August of 2004 I brought home Venus also of Dawnfire Bengals. She was to be the starting point of my breeding program. Unfortunately she did not like being away from her home and me. This made it impossible to have her bred. I decided that it has best to have her spayed and let her live her life where she feels most safe and loved.
This led me to search for a new Queen to get my program underway. That is when I met Tabby. Tabby was owned by Tammy Gibson. I had been visiting Tammy with all intentions of purchasing a new kitten. I was soon distracted by a very loving older female who demanded I take notice of her and no one else. It was love at first sight, Tabby was the girl I wanted and as luck would have it, Tammy was willing to let her be a part of my family.
Unfortunately after numerous attempts Tabby was unable to become pregnant. Even with many tests preformed we could not find any reason as to why this was happening. So the decision was made to heave spayed and let her live the rest of her life as a spoiled and pampered girl.

Thank you Rose.
I like to give individual attention and love to all our feline family. All live inside our home, running on their own and being family members.
At this time the main focus of this cattery is on the Abyssinian breed. My goal is to diligently preserve the traits that make the Abyssinian cat so distinctive both in appearance, and as a companion animal. Great care is being undertaken to maintain successfully the robustness and longevity of the breed. I strive to produce beautiful, healthy, loving kittens.
I will occasionally have kittens for sale (pet, breeder, and show quality). They can be shipped but only on approved airlines. All kittens are vet checked and a health certificate is issued by our local vet.
